We gave and received joy in Galati in December

Winter holidays is the season in which we focus more on the wishes of our loved ones and seek to bring them as much joy as possible. For our colleagues from Galati, the holidays are another opportunity to open their souls to altruism, generosity and empathy, therefore, they made sure that Saint Nicholas and Santa Claus will not forget anyone this year. They mobilized, set a budget and with the help of the MaxBet team from Galati Mall, which donated part of their 2019 Team Building budget, they started their way to good deeds.

They continued the tradition and returned in December, on the day of Santa Claus, to the ”Center of homeless people”, armed with a lot of good mood, but also food, clothes and sweets.

Good deeds did not stop here, so they chose to play the role of Santa Claus for adults and children, who have been abandoned or are orphans, from the Zimbru Centers, where they also had a surprise from them. In exchange for the food and sweets that our colleagues offered, the children sang carols and recited poems.

The wave of emotions accompanied by the specific atmosphere of the holidays overwhelmed everyone present. We were impressed when we found out the life stories of the people who live in the centers, but especially the connections that were created between them. Our colleagues told us that they met people with needs, younger or older, brothers who lost their parents, but stayed together. For each of them, these centers have become ”home”, and the older ones take care of the younger ones as if they were their own children. I have met people with beautiful souls, who, unfortunately, have received difficulties from life, but who still remain optimistic. The difficulties they have made them get closer, support each other and try to overcome them together, as in a real family.

MaxBet employees from Galati also participated in the ”Santa's Bus” event in December, now in its eighth edition. Our colleagues became Santa Claus and elves and introduced the little ones to the fairytale atmosphere of the winter holidays.

We thank our colleagues from Galati for offering us a lesson in kindness and humanity, giving others the magic of the holidays.
